Clinical studies that support claims

VigRX Plus is a formulation developed after over 10 years of research on the subject of men’s sexual health, and the latest developments from medical science have been used to gradually refine the formulation. The formulation was specifically studied by a group of researchers in a randomized, double blind and placebo-controlled environment. The results of the study were published in the BMC (Biomedical Central) journal in 2012 and a number of other medical journals.

During the study, 78 men between the ages of 25 and 50, all suffering from mild to moderate erectile dysfunction were randomly given either VigRX Plus or a placebo at the dose of 2 capsules twice a day for a period of twelve weeks. The conclusions of the effectiveness of the pills were based on the internal index of erectile function (IIEF), serum testosterone, and erectile dysfunction inventory of treatment satisfaction, semen analysis, and the global assessment of the investigators as well as the opinions of the subjects themselves.

The results showed that the IIEF score increased by a significant 9 points in the subjects receiving the herbal pill, while the corresponding increases in the subjects receiving the placebo was less than 1 point. 90 percent of the subjects who had been given the VigFX Plus pills wished to continue with the treatment. The investigators rated the pill as very good to excellent in over 50 percent of patients, and the conclusion drawn was that the herbal pill was well tolerated and significantly more effective than the placebo in helping to improve sexual function in men.

The clinical trial carried out by Vedic Lifesciences Pvt. Limited had very specific figures to show for the effectiveness of the herbal pill. According to the study, in as little as 84 days, the participating men experienced the following improvements:

  • Overall sexual satisfaction: 61% increase
  • Sex drive and desire: 47% increase
  • Satisfaction during sexual intercourse: 71.43% more
  • Frequency of orgasms and their quality: 22.49% higher
  • Ability for penetration: 58.97% increase
  • Ability to maintain an erection: 62.82%

Side effects of VigRX Plus

There have also been a number of studies conducted to measure the safety and side effects of the herbal pill. One particular animal study carried out by investigators in 2005 at AIBMR Life Sciences, Inc. on the side effects of the VigRX formulation. According to the results of the study, long term use of the pill at a dosage of 15mg for each kilogram of body weight for a period of 4, 8 and 12 days had no effect on weight gain, but it did enlarge penis size, testosterone levels, sperm density and blood pressure in the male organs.

The Verdict
